About PracticeCaddie
What is PracticeCaddie?
PracticeCaddie is an AI-powered golf practice planner. You tell it your handicap, focus areas, and how long you have. It builds a structured, drill-by-drill session you can run live at the range, then tracks your progress over weeks.
Who is PracticeCaddie for?
Amateur golfers (typically 0 to 30 handicap) who want to practice with structure and measurable progress, instead of hitting random buckets. Most useful for golfers practicing 1 to 4 times per week.
Is PracticeCaddie related to BallCaddie?
Yes. Same team. BallCaddie helps you find the right golf ball using independent fitting across 79+ models. PracticeCaddie helps you build the game itself. They work well together but are separate products.
Pricing & free trial
How much does PracticeCaddie cost?
Free forever for 2 starter plans plus the full drill library. Pro is $4.99/month or $49.99/year ($4.17/month effective). Pro starts with a 3-day free trial.
How does the 3-day free trial work?
Pick a Pro plan (monthly or yearly) and get full Pro access immediately for 3 days — no credit card required. At the end of your trial we'll ask for payment details to continue. You can cancel from the in-app billing page at any time.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from the in-app billing page. Cancel during the 3-day trial and you won't be charged. Cancel later and your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.
What if I forget to cancel and get charged?
Email support within 14 days and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked.
Is there a difference in features between monthly and yearly?
No. Same features, same trial. Yearly just costs 17% less ($4.17/mo effective vs $4.99/mo).
AI plans & methodology
How does the AI build a plan?
When you submit your inputs (handicap, focus areas, session length, optional recent notes), PracticeCaddie's AI generates a structured plan: warm-up, skill blocks, finisher. Each drill includes objective, success criterion, and pro tip.
What are the four pillars of practice?
Variability (rotate clubs, distances, shapes), specificity (practice the shots you actually face), challenge (difficulty matched to skill), and feedback (measure made/missed and notes). These come from motor-learning research and are the basis for every PracticeCaddie plan.
Can I edit a plan?
Yes. Pro users can swap any drill via per-drill AI regeneration, reorder blocks, and extend the session. The AI re-evaluates the plan after each swap.
Does PracticeCaddie analyze my swing?
No. We don't ask for video. Swing analysis is a different problem solved better by tools like HackMotion or Sportsbox. PracticeCaddie focuses on session structure and progress tracking. They pair well.
Drills & sessions
How long is a typical session?
PracticeCaddie supports 30, 60, and 90-minute sessions. Research suggests two or three focused 30-minute sessions per week beat one unstructured 2-hour session, because attention drops off after about 45 minutes.
What kinds of drills are included?
Full swing, wedges, chipping, pitching, bunker, putting, pressure performance, and scoring strategy. Each drill includes objective, equipment list, execution steps, success criterion, and pro tip.
Do I need a driving range?
Most full-swing drills assume range access. Short-game drills (chipping, putting) work at any practice green or even a backyard with a chipping mat. The 'Practice golf at home' guide covers indoor-only options.
Are there printable plans?
The live runner is designed for your phone, but you can take screenshots of the plan. Export as PDF is on the roadmap.
Free tier & sign-up
What's in the free tier?
Two starter plans (Golf Fundamentals Kickstart and Intermediate Score Booster), the full browsable drill library, daily streak tracking, per-drill timers, and made/missed logging. No credit card required.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes, to save your data. Sign up with email + password, Google, or Apple. The free tier is unlimited time, no card.
Data, privacy & support
Where is my data stored?
Your account, session history, and progress are stored securely in the cloud, linked to your user ID. We use industry-standard authentication and never share your data with third parties.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Your session data is used only to bias your own future plans. We do not sell or share it.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. From Settings you can export your data as JSON or delete your account. Deletion erases your practice data and profile from our database immediately, cancels any active Stripe subscription, and removes your sign-in record. Encrypted Firestore backups roll off within 30 days.
